Introducing
About the Brand:
Marceli Azra is an independent fashion label operating outside the traditional fashion system, rooted in sculptural tailoring, zero-waste craftsmanship, and the architectural manipulation of upcycled textiles.
The brand explores a calculated collision between Scandinavian functionalism and the emotional weight of Slavic heritage. Discarded heavy materials, including upcycled leather, are manually deconstructed and reconstructed into highly structured, androgynous silhouettes defined by asymmetric geometry, industrial hardware, and unconventional proportions.
Approaching clothing as both an intimate second skin and unyielding modern armor, Marceli Azra creates garments centered on utility, protection, and physical autonomy. Each piece challenges conventional ideas of fashion and mass production, transforming discarded materials into uncompromising expressions of quiet rebellion.
About the Designer:
Marceli Azra is an independent designer with a background in visual arts and digital graphics whose practice evolved from graphic experimentation into a deeply hands-on approach to garment construction.
While studying Swedish Philology, Marceli became immersed in Scandinavian principles of circularity and slow fashion, prompting a fundamental shift away from ready-made garments. Determined to understand the architecture of clothing, he independently developed his skills in pattern-making and heavy tailoring, learning to construct and manipulate garments from the ground up.
Today, Marceli approaches fashion as a physical dialogue between material, structure, and form. His practice centers on deconstructing and rebuilding discarded textiles through sculptural tailoring, allowing the raw qualities of each material to dictate the resulting silhouette. His work reflects a commitment to technical craft, material experimentation, and independent design, creating modern armor that embodies utility, autonomy, and quiet rebellion.
